Blue leather hardcover volume with gilt emblem of Sir John Deane’s Grammar School, Norwich on front cover. Gilt lettering on spine. Cover has some rubbing and wear around edges and corners. Leather is quite worn on the spine. there is a beautiful prize plate on inside cover, stating the book had been awarded to A. Joan Downes for success in HS. C., and is dated to July 1942.

It is well bound, with no writing or markings in the book. Top page edges gilt.

Although the wear to the cover makes it clear that the book had been thoroughly appreciated over the last 80 years, it is in a remarkably good condition and is ready to be enjoyed again!
